القرار الموثق بعدم تحليل عينة لا تحقق معايير القبول في المختبر، مثل غياب البطاقة أو الأنبوب الخاطئ أو عينة التخثر المتخثرة أو الناقصة أو الانحلال الواضح. يجب تسجيل السبب وإبلاغ الجهة الطالبة. تعد نسب الرفض بحسب السبب مؤشر جودة مفيداً.
Definition
The documented decision not to test a specimen that fails the laboratory's acceptance criteria, such as a missing label, the wrong tube, a clotted or underfilled coagulation sample, or marked hemolysis. The lab must record the reason and inform the requester. Rejection rates by reason are a useful quality indicator.
