كمية محددة من العينة تُنقل إلى أنبوب مستقل موسوم، غالباً لتتمكن عدة أقسام من تحليلها أو لتجميد جزء منها أو إرساله إلى مختبر إحالة. يجب أن يحمل الجزء المقتسم بيانات العينة الأولية نفسها، وقد تغير أخطاء السحب بالماصة أو التبخر النتائج.
Definition
A measured portion of a sample transferred into a separate labeled tube, usually so several departments can test it or part can be frozen or sent to a referral lab. Each aliquot must carry the same identifiers as the primary sample, and pipetting errors or evaporation can change results.
