مادة مضافة إلى الأنبوب، غالباً جزيئات السيليكا، تسرّع التخثر ليُفصل المصل بوقت أقصر. يُقلب الأنبوب نحو خمس مرات ويُترك قائماً حتى يتخثر، عادةً 30 دقيقة، قبل الطرد المركزي. الطرد المبكر يترك خيوط فيبرين قد تسد مسبار الجهاز.
Definition
A tube additive, usually silica particles, that speeds up clotting so serum can be separated sooner. The tube is inverted about five times and left upright to clot, typically for 30 minutes, before centrifugation. Spinning too early leaves fibrin strands that can block the analyzer probe.
