مانع تخثر يرتبط بالكالسيوم، تركيزه المعتاد 3.2 بالمئة (0.109 مول/لتر)، ويستخدم لتحاليل التخثر مثل زمن البروثرومبين وAPTT والدي دايمر. يجب ملء الأنبوب حتى العلامة لتكون نسبة الدم إلى السترات 9 إلى 1، فالأنبوب الناقص يحوي سترات زائدة ويعطي أزمنة تخثر مطولة كاذبة.
Definition
A calcium-binding anticoagulant, usually 3.2 percent (0.109 mol/L), used for coagulation tests such as PT, APTT and D-dimer. The tube must be filled to the mark so blood and citrate are in a 9 to 1 ratio. An underfilled tube has excess citrate and gives falsely prolonged clotting times.
