أنبوب ذو غطاء رمادي يحوي فلوريد الصوديوم الذي يثبط تحلل السكر في الخلايا، ومعه غالباً أوكسالات البوتاسيوم مانعاً للتخثر. يستخدم لتحليل الغلوكوز واللاكتات عندما يتعذر فصل العينة بسرعة. في الدم غير المفصول دون فلوريد ينخفض الغلوكوز بنحو 5 إلى 7 بالمئة كل ساعة، ولا يبدأ الفلوريد مفعوله فوراً.
Definition
A grey-top tube containing sodium fluoride, which inhibits glycolysis, usually with potassium oxalate as the anticoagulant. It is used for glucose and lactate when the sample cannot be separated quickly. In unseparated blood without fluoride, glucose falls by about 5 to 7 percent per hour, and fluoride does not act immediately.
