الخطر المتبقي هو الخطر الذي يبقى بعد تطبيق إجراءات التحكم بالمخاطر. لا يمكن إزالة كل خطر، فحتى مع الباركود يبقى احتمال سحب الدم من المريض الخطأ، والمطلوب أن يقرر المختبر رسمياً أن هذا المستوى مقبول وأن يراجعه دورياً.
Definition
Residual risk is the risk that remains after risk control measures have been applied. No risk can be removed completely, since even with barcodes a sample can still be drawn from the wrong patient, so the laboratory must formally decide the remaining level is acceptable and review it periodically.
