إضافة تحليل أو تعليق يقررها عامل المختبر بعد مراجعة النتيجة مع السوابق المرضية، بما يتجاوز ما تفعله القاعدة الثابتة. مثلاً قد يضيف المراجع تحليل الفيريتين لمريض لديه MCV منخفض ولا توجد له تحاليل حديد حديثة. يعتمد على كفاءة العاملين وعلى اتفاق واضح مع الجهات الطالبة.
Definition
Addition of a test, or a comment, by laboratory staff after reviewing a result together with the patient's history, going beyond what a fixed rule would do. For example, a reviewer may add ferritin for a patient with a low MCV and no recent iron studies. It relies on staff competence and clear agreement with requesters.
