التعريف
الاحتفاظ بالسجلات هو تحديد المدة التي يُحفظ فيها كل نوع من السجلات والمكان والطريقة، وفق المتطلبات القانونية والتنظيمية ومتطلبات الاعتماد. من المنطقي مثلاً أن تبقى سجلات الكونترول والمعايرة محفوظة طوال مدة حفظ تقارير المرضى التي تعتمد عليها، حتى يمكن الرجوع إليها عند أي شكوى.
Definition
Record retention defines how long each type of record is kept, where and in what form, according to legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements. A sensible rule is to keep QC and calibration records at least as long as the patient reports that relied on them, so they can be retrieved if a result is ever challenged.
