هدف الجودة هو غاية قابلة للقياس يضعها المختبر تطبيقاً لسياسة الجودة، ولها رقم ومهلة زمنية ومسؤول عن متابعتها. مثال ذلك أن تكون نسبة العينات المرفوضة بسبب انحلال الدم أقل من حد يحدده المختبر، أو أن يصدر تقرير البوتاسيوم الإسعافي خلال ساعة، ثم تُراجع النتيجة في مراجعة الإدارة.
Definition
A quality objective is a measurable target the laboratory sets to put its quality policy into practice, with a figure, a deadline and a person responsible. Examples are keeping the rate of samples rejected for haemolysis below a level the lab chooses, or reporting urgent potassium within one hour, with progress checked at management review.
