بحسب ISO 15189:2022 هي الإجراءات التي تبدأ بطلب الطبيب وتنتهي عند بدء التحليل، وتشمل تحضير المريض وجمع العينة ووسمها ونقلها واستلامها. تنشأ معظم أخطاء المختبر في هذه المرحلة، لذلك يحتاج المختبر إلى تعليمات مكتوبة لكل خطوة، مثل مدة الصيام المطلوبة قبل تحليل الشحوم.
Definition
In ISO 15189:2022, the processes that start with the clinician's request and end when the examination begins: patient preparation, collection, labeling, transport and receipt. Most laboratory errors arise here, so a lab needs written instructions for each step, for example how long a patient must fast before a lipid profile.
