أنبوب يحتوي منشط تخثر وهلاماً خاملاً ينتقل أثناء الطرد المركزي إلى ما بين الخلايا والمصل فيشكل حاجزاً بينهما. يسمح ذلك بحفظ المصل فوق الخلايا دون اختلاط وبتمرير العينة من الأنبوب الأولي مباشرة. قد يمتص الهلام بعض الأدوية والعناصر الزهيدة، فيجب التحقق من ملاءمته لمراقبة تراكيز الأدوية.
Definition
A tube with a clot activator and an inert gel that moves between cells and serum during centrifugation, forming a barrier. Serum can then stay on the cells without mixing and be sampled directly from the primary tube. Some drugs and trace elements can be absorbed into the gel, so suitability for therapeutic drug monitoring must be checked.
