تدوير العينات بسرعة عالية لفصل الخلايا عن المصل أو البلازما، أو لترسيب البول. يجب أن تتبع السرعة والمدة والحرارة إعدادات الشركة المصنعة للأنابيب أو إعدادات المختبر المصادق عليها، ويُعبَّر عنها غالباً بقوة الطرد المركزي النسبية. بلازما السترات غير المطرودة كفايةً تبقى فيها صفيحات قد تؤثر في بعض تحاليل التخثر.
Definition
Spinning samples at high speed to separate cells from serum or plasma, or to sediment urine. Speed, time and temperature must follow the tube maker's or the lab's validated settings, usually expressed as relative centrifugal force. Under-spun citrate plasma keeps platelets, which can affect some coagulation tests.
