المحلول المعياري محلول معروف التركيز بدقة، يُحضَّر من مادة نقية أو يُشترى جاهزاً، ويُستعمل للمعايرة أو لرسم منحنى قياسي في الطرق اليدوية. في الكيمياء التقليدية يُحضَّر مثلاً محلول غلوكوز 5.55 mmol/L بوزن دقيق، أما الأجهزة الآلية فتعتمد غالباً معايِرات ذات مصفوفة مصلية.
Definition
A standard solution has an accurately known concentration, prepared from a pure substance or bought ready made, and is used for calibration or for building a standard curve in manual methods. In classical chemistry, for example, a 5.55 mmol/L glucose standard is made by exact weighing, whereas automated analysers mostly use serum-based calibrators.
