المعيار الثانوي مادة تُحدد قيمتها بمقارنتها بمعيار أولي أو بمادة مرجعية أعلى، ومنه تنحدر معايِرات العمل التي يستعملها المختبر يومياً. كل خطوة من الأولي إلى الثانوي إلى معايِر الجهاز تضيف ارتياباً، ولهذا يذكر بيان التتبّع هذه الخطوات.
Definition
A secondary standard is a material whose value is assigned by comparison with a primary standard or higher reference material, and the working calibrators a lab uses every day descend from it. Each step from primary to secondary to analyser calibrator adds uncertainty, which is why a traceability statement lists them.
