لصق بيانات التعريف على وعاء العينة بجانب المريض مباشرة بعد الجمع. تحمل البطاقة معرّفين على الأقل للمريض وتاريخ الجمع ووقته، وغالباً رمزاً شريطياً. وسم الأنابيب مسبقاً أو بعيداً عن المريض سبب شائع لنتائج المريض الخطأ، والعينة غير الموسومة تُرفض عادةً.
Definition
Attaching identifiers to the specimen container at the patient's side, immediately after collection. The label carries at least two patient identifiers, the collection date and time and often a barcode. Labeling tubes in advance or away from the patient is a common cause of wrong-patient results, and unlabeled samples are normally rejected.
