التعريف
تقييم المخاطر هو العملية الشاملة لتحديد المخاطر وتحليلها وتقدير أهميتها، غالباً بضرب احتمال حدوث الضرر في شدته. يستخدمه المختبر مثلاً ليقرر هل تكفي نقطة كونترول واحدة يومياً لتحليل التروبونين، أم أن خطورة النتيجة الخاطئة تستوجب ضبطاً أكثر تكراراً.
Definition
Risk assessment is the overall process of identifying risks, analysing them and judging how significant they are, often by combining the probability of harm with its severity. A lab uses it, for example, to decide whether one control run a day is enough for troponin or whether the harm from a wrong result calls for more frequent QC.
