إجراء القياس المرجعي هو إجراء عالي الدقة يُعتمد لتقييم صحة الإجراءات الأخرى أو لإسناد القيم إلى المواد المرجعية، مثل قياس الكوليسترول بمطيافية الكتلة مع التمديد النظيري. لا يستعمله المختبر الروتيني عادة، لكنه يقع قرب أعلى سلسلة التتبّع التي تستمد منها معايِرات الجهاز قيمها.
Definition
A reference measurement procedure is a highly accurate procedure used to assess the trueness of other procedures or to assign values to reference materials, for example isotope dilution mass spectrometry for cholesterol. Routine labs rarely run one, but it sits near the top of the traceability chain from which analyser calibrators draw their values.
