تحاليل تُجرى قرب المريض خارج المختبر المركزي وتظهر نتيجتها وهو ما يزال حاضراً، مثل أجهزة السكر وHbA1c وINR. يضم معيار ISO 15189:2022 متطلبات هذه التحاليل، لأن تدريب المشغلين والكونترول وتسجيل النتائج أصعب ضبطاً بعيداً عن المختبر.
Definition
Testing performed near the patient, outside the central laboratory, with results available while the patient is still present, such as glucose meters and HbA1c or INR devices. ISO 15189:2022 includes POCT requirements, because operator training, QC and result recording are harder to control away from the lab.
