محلول يقاوم تغير درجة الحموضة pH عند إضافة كميات صغيرة من حمض أو قاعدة. تحتوي الكواشف على ناظم يثبت التفاعل عند درجة الحموضة التي تحتاجها الطريقة، والناظم الخاطئ أو المنتهي قد يغير نتائج فعالية الإنزيمات بوضوح.
Definition
A solution that resists changes in pH when small amounts of acid or base are added. Reagents contain buffers to hold the reaction at the pH the method needs, and a wrong or expired buffer can change enzyme activity results noticeably.
