بول يُجمع في وعاء معقم من منتصف الجريان بعد إفراغ الجزء الأول في المرحاض، ويُفضل بعد تنظيف المنطقة التناسلية. يقلل ذلك التلوث بجراثيم الجلد والإحليل. هو العينة المعتادة لزرع البول وتحليل البول العام، ويجب أن تصل إلى المختبر خلال ساعتين أو تُحفظ في البراد.
Definition
Urine collected in a sterile container from the middle of the stream, after the first portion has been passed into the toilet, ideally after cleaning the genital area. This reduces contamination by skin and urethral bacteria. It is the standard sample for urine culture and urinalysis, and should reach the lab within 2 hours or be refrigerated.
