رقم الدفعة هو الرمز الذي تعطيه الشركة لكمية من المادة صُنعت في ظروف واحدة ولها الخصائص نفسها. تسجيله للكاشف والمعايِر والكونترول مع كل نتيجة يسمح بتتبع أي مشكلة لاحقاً، مثل معرفة المرضى الذين مُررت عيناتهم بدفعة ظهر فيها عيب.
Definition
A lot number is the code a manufacturer gives to a quantity of material made under the same conditions with the same properties. Recording it for reagents, calibrators and controls allows any problem to be traced later, such as finding which patients were tested with a lot later found to be faulty.
