نتيجة منخفضة زيفاً في مقايسة الساندويتش المناعية ذات الخطوة الواحدة، عندما يكون تركيز المادة عالياً جداً فيشبع الضدين معاً ويمنع تشكل الساندويتش. يُعرف في البرولاكتين وhCG والفيريتين والواسمات الورمية، وإعادة تمرير العينة بعد تمديدها تكشف القيمة المرتفعة الحقيقية.
Definition
A falsely low result in a one-step sandwich immunoassay when the analyte concentration is so high that it saturates both antibodies and prevents sandwich formation. It is known for prolactin, hCG, ferritin and tumour markers, and rerunning the sample after dilution reveals the true high value.
