تكسّر كريات الدم الحمراء وتحرر محتواها في المصل أو البلازما، ويظهر بلون وردي أو أحمر. ينتج الانحلال خارج الجسم عادةً عن السحب الصعب أو الإبر الرفيعة أو التداول العنيف. يرفع زيفاً البوتاسيوم وLDH وAST، لذلك يقيس المختبر مؤشر الانحلال ويطبق حدود قبول أو رفض موثقة.
Definition
Rupture of red blood cells with release of their contents into serum or plasma, seen as a pink or red color. In vitro hemolysis usually comes from difficult draws, fine needles or rough handling. It falsely raises potassium, LDH and AST, so the lab measures a hemolysis index and applies documented accept or reject limits.
