الانجراف تغير مستمر أو تدريجي مع الزمن في قراءة نظام القياس لا يعود إلى تغير في الكمية المقيسة، وفق المعجم الدولي للمصطلحات المترولوجية (VIM). يظهر عملياً كتسلل بطيء في قراءات الكونترول أو المعايِر، كارتفاع كونترول ALT قليلاً كل يوم حتى إعادة المعايرة.
Definition
Drift is a continuous or incremental change over time in the indication of a measuring system that is not caused by a change in the quantity being measured (VIM). In practice it shows as a slow creep in control or calibrator readings, for example an ALT control rising a little each day until recalibration.
