Definition
The 2 of 3 2s rule rejects a run when two out of three control results exceed the same 2 SD limit on the same side of the mean. It replaces the 2-2s rule when three control levels are run together, as is usual on hematology analyzers and many immunoassays, and it detects systematic error.
