النوعية التشخيصية هي نسبة الأشخاص غير المصابين بالحالة المستهدفة الذين تكون نتيجتهم سلبية، وتُحسب بقسمة السلبيات الحقيقية على جميع غير المصابين. التحليل الذي نوعيته 99% يعطي نتيجة إيجابية كاذبة واحدة لكل 100 شخص سليم، لذلك تُستخدم التحاليل عالية النوعية لتأكيد المرض.
Definition
Diagnostic specificity is the proportion of people without the target condition who test negative, calculated as true negatives divided by all people without the condition. A test with 99% specificity gives 1 false positive per 100 healthy people, so highly specific tests are used to confirm disease.
