تصنيف الخطورة القلبية الوعائية تقدير احتمال إصابة الشخص بحادث قلبي أو وعائي خلال سنوات قادمة، بدمج العمر والجنس والتدخين وضغط الدم مع نتائج مخبرية. يقدم المخبر لهذه الحسابات الكوليسترول الكلي وHDL وLDL والخضاب السكري ومعدل الترشيح الكبيبي، وتؤثر أي أخطاء في قياس الشحوم مباشرة في الفئة التي يوضع فيها المريض.
Definition
Cardiovascular risk stratification estimates a person's chance of a heart or vascular event over the coming years, combining age, sex, smoking and blood pressure with laboratory results. The laboratory supplies total, HDL and LDL cholesterol, HbA1c and eGFR, and any error in lipid measurement moves the patient directly into a different risk category.
