حد عددي لتحليل كمي تُعد النتيجة بعد تجاوزه حرجة، وكان يسمى سابقاً قيمة الذعر. يجب الاتفاق على قائمة التحاليل وحدودها مع الأطباء ومراجعتها دورياً. قد تختلف الحدود بحسب فئة المرضى، فحدود البيليروبين أو الغلوكوز عند حديثي الولادة تختلف عن حدود البالغين.
Definition
A numerical threshold for a quantitative test beyond which a result is treated as critical, historically called a panic value. The list of analytes and limits should be agreed with clinicians and reviewed periodically. Limits may differ by patient group, for example neonatal bilirubin or glucose limits differ from adult ones.
