التعريف
التحقق من أن النتيجة، أو مجموعة النتائج، ممكنة فيزيولوجياً قبل إصدارها. من أمثلته بوتاسيوم يتجاوز 10 مليمول/لتر مع كالسيوم منخفض جداً، وهو ما يشير إلى تلوث بالـEDTA، أو مجموع نسب الصيغة البيضاء الذي لا يساوي 100. تُوقف النتائج غير المعقولة ويُحقق فيها.
Definition
Checking whether a result, or a combination of results, is physiologically possible before release. Examples include a potassium above 10 mmol/L with a very low calcium, which points to EDTA contamination, or differential percentages that do not add up to 100. Implausible results are held and investigated.
