التعريف
السرية هي التزام المختبر بحماية كل معلومات المرضى التي يحصل عليها أثناء عمله، وعدم كشفها إلا لمن يحق له ذلك أو بموافقة المريض أو بحكم القانون. تشمل الموظفين والمتعاقدين، وتنطبق مثلاً على عدم إعطاء نتيجة تحليل الحمل لقريب يتصل هاتفياً.
Definition
Confidentiality is the laboratory's obligation to protect all patient information obtained during its work and to disclose it only to those entitled, with the patient's consent or where the law requires. It binds staff and contractors, and applies for example to refusing to give a pregnancy test result to a relative who phones in.
