المعايرة بحسب VIM عملية تحدد العلاقة بين إشارة الجهاز وقيم معلومة لمعايِرات، ثم تستعمل هذه العلاقة لتحويل إشارة عينة المريض إلى نتيجة. تُعاد عادة عند تغيير دفعة الكاشف أو بعد صيانة كبيرة أو عندما يُظهر الكونترول انحرافاً منهجياً، أو وفق الفاصل الذي تحدده الشركة.
Definition
In the VIM, calibration establishes the relationship between the instrument signal and the known values of calibrators, then uses that relationship to convert a patient sample's signal into a result. It is repeated on a change of reagent lot, after major maintenance, when QC shows a systematic shift, or at the interval set by the manufacturer.
