مؤشر الانحراف المعياري هو الفرق بين نتيجة المختبر ومتوسط مجموعة الأقران مقسوماً على الانحراف المعياري للمجموعة. تعني القيمة صفر تطابقاً تاماً، وتستدعي القيم التي تتجاوز ±2 المراجعة، أما تكرار قيم قريبة من +1.5 فيشير إلى انحياز إيجابي يستحق التحقيق.
Definition
The standard deviation index is the difference between a laboratory's result and the peer group mean, divided by the peer group standard deviation. An SDI of 0 means perfect agreement, values beyond ±2 need review, and a run of SDIs all around +1.5 points to a positive bias worth investigating.
