الانزياح تغير مفاجئ في متوسط نتائج الكونترول إلى مستوى جديد يبقى ثابتاً، وهو علامة على خطأ منهجي. من أسبابه المعتادة دفعة كاشف جديدة أو إعادة معايرة أو تغيير المصباح، ويظهر على مخطط ليفي-جينينغز كنقاط متتالية انتقلت فجأة إلى جانب واحد من المتوسط.
Definition
A shift is an abrupt change in the mean of control results to a new level that then stays constant, a sign of systematic error. Typical causes are a new reagent lot, a recalibration or a lamp change, and it shows on a Levey-Jennings chart as consecutive points suddenly sitting on one side of the mean.
