حد الرفض هو حد ضبط، غالباً المتوسط ±3 انحراف معياري، تدل النتيجة التي تتجاوزه على أن الدورة التحليلية خارج الضبط وأن نتائج المرضى يجب أن تُحجز. فمثلاً إذا تجاوز كونترول الصوديوم +3 انحراف معياري يتوقف إصدار النتائج حتى يُعرف السبب ويُصحح.
Definition
A rejection limit is a control limit, often the mean ±3 SD, beyond which a control result indicates that the run is out of control and patient results must be held. For example, a sodium control reading above +3 SD stops reporting until the cause is found and corrected.
