إضافة تحليل آخر تلقائياً عندما تحقق النتيجة الأولى قاعدة محددة مسبقاً، دون طلب جديد. المثال الشائع قياس الثيروكسين الحر عندما يقع TSH خارج المجال المرجعي. يجب الاتفاق على هذه القواعد مع الأطباء وتوثيقها، وأن يبين التقرير أن المختبر أضاف التحليل.
Definition
Automatic addition of a further test when a first result meets a predefined rule, without a new request. A common example is measuring free T4 when TSH is outside the reference interval. Reflex rules should be agreed with clinicians and documented, and the report should show that the lab added the test.
