قيمة الكمية هي الرقم مع المرجع الذي يعبّر عن مقدار الكمية، وتُكتب عادة رقماً مع وحدة قياس مثل 5.2 mmol/L. النتيجة المخبرية بلا وحدة ناقصة وقد تكون خطرة، فالكالسيوم 2.4 بوحدة mmol/L طبيعي بينما 2.4 بوحدة mg/dL منخفض جداً.
Definition
A quantity value is the number and reference that express the size of a quantity, usually written as a number with a unit, such as 5.2 mmol/L. A result without its unit is incomplete and can be dangerous, since calcium 2.4 mmol/L is normal while 2.4 mg/dL is severely low.
