وحدة القياس كمية مرجعية متفق عليها تُقارن بها الكميات من النوع نفسه، مثل mmol/L أو mg/dL أو U/L. تستعمل مختبرات مختلفة وحدات مختلفة للتحليل نفسه، فالغلوكوز 100 mg/dL يعادل تقريباً 5.6 mmol/L، ويجب أن يعتمد التقرير الوحدة التي يعرفها الطبيب الطالب.
Definition
A measurement unit is an agreed reference quantity against which quantities of the same kind are compared, such as mmol/L, mg/dL or U/L. Labs report the same test in different units, so glucose 100 mg/dL equals about 5.6 mmol/L, and the report must use the unit the requesting doctor expects.
