حد الناصع هو أعلى نتيجة قياس يُحتمل ظهورها في عينة لا تحتوي المادة المقيسة، ويُحدد عادة عند الشريحة المئوية 95 لنتائج الناصع وفق CLSI EP17. يمثل الحد الذي ينتهي عنده التشويش، فالنتيجة التي تساويه أو تقل عنه لا يمكن تمييزها من الصفر.
Definition
The limit of blank is the highest measurement result likely to be observed for a sample containing no analyte, usually set at the 95th percentile of blank results (CLSI EP17). It marks where background noise ends, so a result at or below the LoB cannot be told apart from zero.
