النظام الدولي للوحدات هو نظام الوحدات المعتمد عالمياً، ووحدة كمية المادة فيه هي المول، فتُكتب التراكيز في المختبر بوحدات مثل mmol/L وµmol/L. ما زال كثير من المختبرات والأطباء يستعملون الوحدات التقليدية مثل mg/dL، لذا يحتاج كل تحليل إلى وحدة واحدة واضحة مذكورة في التقرير.
Definition
The International System of Units is the globally agreed unit system, with the mole as the unit of amount of substance, so lab concentrations are written as mmol/L or µmol/L. Many labs and doctors still use conventional units such as mg/dL, so each test needs one clearly stated unit on the report.
