الاستخدام المقصود هو الغرض الذي صممت الشركة المصنعة جهاز التشخيص المخبري من أجله وتعلنه، ويشمل المادة المقيسة ونوع العينة وفئة المرضى والغاية السريرية. استخدام الجهاز خارجه، كتحليل دم شعيري بمقايسة مخصصة لمصل وريدي، يحول التحقق البسيط إلى إثبات صلاحية كامل.
Definition
Intended use is the purpose for which the manufacturer designed and claims an IVD device, including the analyte, specimen type, patient population and clinical purpose. Using a device outside it, such as testing capillary blood with an assay labelled for venous serum, turns a simple verification into a full validation.
