إبقاء مزيج التفاعل أو المزرعة عند درجة حرارة مضبوطة لمدة محددة ليكتمل التفاعل أو النمو. تحضن أجهزة الكيمياء التفاعلات عند 37 درجة مئوية عادة، وانحراف حرارة الحاضنة يغير نتائج الإنزيمات ونمو الجراثيم، لذلك تُسجل درجات الحرارة يومياً.
Definition
Holding a reaction mixture or culture at a controlled temperature for a set time so the reaction or growth can proceed. Chemistry analyzers usually incubate reactions at 37 °C, and a drifting incubator temperature changes enzyme results and bacterial growth, so temperatures are recorded daily.
