اعتلال الكلية السكري أذية كلوية مزمنة يسببها السكري، وتظهر أولًا بزيادة إطراح الألبومين في البول. يكشفها المخبر بنسبة الألبومين إلى الكرياتينين في عينة بول عشوائية، وتُعد قيمة 30 ملغ/غ (3 ملغ/ممول) أو أكثر مرتفعة إذا تكررت في عينتين من ثلاث خلال 3 إلى 6 أشهر، مع متابعة معدل الترشيح الكبيبي المقدر.
Definition
Diabetic nephropathy is chronic kidney damage caused by diabetes, first seen as increased urinary albumin loss. The laboratory detects it with the albumin-to-creatinine ratio on a spot urine sample, where 30 mg/g (3 mg/mmol) or more is raised if confirmed in two of three samples over 3 to 6 months, alongside the estimated glomerular filtration rate.
