المختبر السريري منشأة تُجري تحاليل على عينات بشرية مثل الدم والبول لتقديم معلومات تفيد في تشخيص المرض ومتابعته والوقاية منه. تستعمل المصادر الأمريكية هذا الاسم غالباً، بينما يفضّل معيار ISO 15189 تسمية المختبر الطبي، والمعنى في الممارسة واحد.
Definition
A clinical laboratory is a facility that performs examinations on human samples such as blood and urine to give information for diagnosing, monitoring and preventing disease. American sources mostly use this name, while ISO 15189 prefers medical laboratory, and in practice the two mean the same thing.
