الكروماتوغرافيا تقنية تفصل مكونات المزيج حسب توزعها بين طور ثابت وطور متحرك. من أشهر تطبيقاتها في المخبر الكروماتوغرافيا السائلة عالية الأداء HPLC لقياس الخضاب السكري وكشف أنواع الخضاب في تحري التلاسيميا، والكروماتوغرافيا الغازية لبعض السموم والأدوية، وغالبًا ما تُقرن بمطيافية الكتلة.
Definition
Chromatography separates the components of a mixture according to how they distribute between a stationary phase and a mobile phase. Common laboratory uses include high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for HbA1c and haemoglobin variants in thalassaemia screening, and gas chromatography for some toxins and drugs, often coupled with mass spectrometry.
