جهاز آلي يقيس مادة أو أكثر في عينات المرضى وفق إجراء قياس محدد. قبل اعتماد نتائجه يجب تركيبه والتحقق من ادعاءات أداء الشركة المصنعة ومعايرته، ثم تمرير عينات الكونترول يومياً قبل عينات المرضى.
Definition
An automated instrument that measures one or more analytes in patient samples according to a defined measurement procedure. Before its results are used it needs installation checks, calibration and verification of the manufacturer's performance claims, then daily control runs before patient samples.
