المجال المرجعي هو المدى بين حدين مرجعيين، ويشمل عادة 95% من قيم مجتمع مرجعي من الأصحاء، وفق CLSI EP28. يصف حالة الصحة، وبحكم تعريفه يقع نحو 5% من الأصحاء خارجه، فارتفاع ALT الطفيف مرة واحدة لا يعني تلقائياً أنه مرضي.
Definition
A reference interval is the range between two reference limits, usually covering the central 95% of values from a healthy reference population (CLSI EP28). It describes health, and by definition about 5% of healthy people fall outside it, so a single slightly high ALT is not automatically abnormal.
