الحد المرجعي قيمة مشتقة من توزع القيم المرجعية بحيث تقع نسبة محددة منها تحته أو فوقه، وعادة يكون عند الشريحتين المئويتين 2.5 و97.5. تعتمد بعض التحاليل حداً واحداً، كالشريحة المئوية 99 للحد المرجعي الأعلى للتروبونين القلبي التي تحدد أذية العضلة القلبية.
Definition
A reference limit is a value derived from the reference distribution so that a stated fraction of reference values falls below or above it, commonly the 2.5th and 97.5th percentiles. Some tests use a single limit, such as the 99th percentile upper reference limit that defines myocardial injury for cardiac troponin.
