الخطأ العشوائي هو مكوّن الخطأ الذي يتغير بطريقة غير متوقعة من قياس إلى آخر، فيرفع النتيجة مرة ويخفضها مرة. من أسبابه فقاعة هواء في المسبار أو تذبذب في الحرارة أو عينة غير ممزوجة جيداً، ويُكشف بقواعد مثل 1-3s وR-4s.
Definition
Random error is the component of error that varies unpredictably from one measurement to the next, pushing a result up one time and down the next. Causes include an air bubble in the probe, temperature fluctuation or a poorly mixed sample, and QC rules such as 1-3s and R-4s detect it.
