التحقق من الطرق النوعية يؤكد أن التحليل الذي يعطي إجابة إيجابية أو سلبية، كاختبار HBsAg السريع أو اختبار الحمل، يعمل في المختبر كما هو معلن. يقارن عادة نتائج عينات معروفة الإيجابية والسلبية، بعضها قريب من قيمة القطع، ويحسب نسب الاتفاق الإيجابي والسلبي والكلي مع طريقة مقارنة.
Definition
Qualitative method verification confirms that a test giving positive or negative answers, such as a rapid HBsAg or pregnancy test, performs as claimed in the lab. It usually tests known positive and negative samples, some near the cutoff, and reports positive, negative and overall percent agreement with a comparator method.
