اختبار الكفاءة هو تقييم أداء المختبرات المشاركة وفق معايير محددة مسبقاً عن طريق المقارنات بين المختبرات، كما يعرّفه المعيار ISO/IEC 17043. وهو الشكل الأكثر شيوعاً للتقييم الخارجي، إذ تُعطى كل نتيجة درجة، فإذا حصل المختبر على درجة غير مقبولة في البوتاسيوم وجب عليه التحقيق وتوثيق الإجراء التصحيحي.
Definition
Proficiency testing is the evaluation of participant performance against pre-established criteria by means of interlaboratory comparisons, as defined in ISO/IEC 17043. It is the most common form of EQA and each result is scored, so a lab receiving an unacceptable score for potassium must investigate and record the corrective action.
